This isn't a world where you have to choose between a man and a bear. THAT is the problem with this hypothetical: it's designed to trigger. We have too much of that. Women AND men have a right to share why this scenario bothers them.

It's ironic that even some men's honest reaction to it comes under criticism. Where is the empathy for them?
